Privacy notice
What personal data we handle, and why.
Last updated: October 2026.
This notice covers this website (eqadarts.org) and the participant portal (portal.eqadarts.org), both run by EQA Darts, a proficiency testing (external quality assessment) provider.
This website
- The website has no accounts, no forms, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies.
- It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver and protect the site.
- The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page opens, and Google receives your IP address.
When you contact us
If you write to us or call, we use your name, contact details and message only to reply and to handle your enquiry, complaint or appeal. We keep these records for as long as the matter needs.
The participant portal
For participating laboratories we hold the laboratory and user details needed to run the program: names, email addresses and phone numbers of contact persons, user codes, the results submitted, and the reports and certificates issued.
- Every laboratory is identified by a unique code known only to EQA Darts and the participant. Individual results are confidential and are never shown to other participants.
- Results are used to evaluate performance, to produce reports and certificates, and, in anonymised form, for statistics and program improvement.
- The portal keeps you signed in with a session stored in your browser. It sets no advertising cookies.
Who handles data for us
We use service providers for website and portal hosting (Cloudflare and Vercel), database and file storage (Supabase and Cloudflare) and email (Zoho Mail). They process data on our behalf and only for these purposes. Some of them store data outside Egypt. We do not sell personal data.
We may share information with our accreditation body (EGAC) when this is needed for assessment, under confidentiality, and where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
Program records are kept for the period required by our quality system and by the accreditation requirements for proficiency testing providers. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or object to or ask for deletion of data that is not required for the program or by law, in line with the applicable data protection law, including the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).
